Delicious food and great service! Our server (I don’t remember her name) was delightful. We ordered the pretzel and a schnitzel and it was all very good. They have a basket of different mustards and curry ketchup which was fun. Restaurant and bathroom were very clean.
The food was great, but the waitress was awesome! She went over and beyond to give us a good sampling of food at a good price. Haven't had service like that in years!
Super impressed and will be back for sure. The food was authentic German food and it was really good. We started with a pretzel with beer cheese. Pretzel was very soft and had great flavor. I had this schnitzel with sauerkraut and the breading was amazing. The sauerkraut was great too. It came with shoestring fries that were cooked perfect and had good flavor. My husband had the Ruben and it was amazing as well. We finish up with the apple strudel dessert. The only bummer was they were out of vanilla ice cream so we got mint ice cream with it which was kind of weird but it was still good. We sat in the little outside patio area. I love how the servers here help each other out and check on each other's tables and make sure you have everything you need. Everyone was super friendly and checked on us multiple times. They all told us thanks for coming and it was just a really friendly place. Great find in downtown Coeur d'Alene.
I absolutely loved visiting the Bier Haus Festhalle and Biergarten German Restaurant located in Beautiful Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho on the Sherman Ave Downtown Strip. I enjoyed the delicious Jagerschnitzel Dinner Plate with Mushroom Sauce, Spatzle, Red Cabbage, Apfelstrudel, 1 Liter Spaten Lager, Sauerkraut and Potato Salad.
Fantastic find! The German food and bier were excellent! The lunch of chicken stew was great, also the sausage platter (pick two sausages of your choice). We thoroughly enjoyed the apple streusel with vanilla ice cream to finish off our meal. E erything was fresh and delicious. The sausage platter came with sauerkraut (perfectly sour) and amazing string fries. A variety ofustards and Ketchup, including curry Ketchup, which we had never had before. We tried all of these condiments. All excellent! We found this place just from driving by. So glad we came in!
Loved it! The food was delicious, the beer was wonderful, and the staff was super-friendly and efficient. Not a large place - half the seating is at the bar. But it's cozy and clean and worth every penny. The schnitzel and stroganoff were fabulous, but the apple strudel outshone both - it was incredible, with rich, creamy vanilla ice cream, caramel drizzle, and a flakey crust.
Delicious food, friendly outstanding service. We loved the food and atmosphere...we enjoyed the schnitzel sandwiches and the hamburgers...fries and pretzel.
Casual stop for food and a German beer. Staff was so welcoming and friendly. Food seemed appropriately priced and the beer was good. I cannot understate how refreshing it was to have staff that took the time to make sure you felt appreciated. It's worth stopping by.
